Terms and conditions for third party events
General
You confirm that you are medically fit and that you participate in the event at your own risk. You agree that Kidney Research Enterprises Ltd shall not be liable in any way for any injury, loss, damage or death that might occur as a result of your participation in the event.
You understand that it is your responsibility to read any terms and conditions issued by the event organisers and to comply with these.
Your safety is of paramount importance, so please ensure that you follow all safety instructions and training procedures when participating in events.
Fundraising
Registration fees for events are non-refundable. We ask all participants to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship for Kidney Research UK, as outlined in the event description and supporting materials.
We ask that all sponsorship monies are with Kidney Research UK one month after the event. If you have not reached the minimum sponsorship level within that timeframe, we will work with you to ensure that the money is raised eventually. If you really can’t fundraise anymore you can choose to set up a standing order to make a manageable monthly donation.
For some events, there are set fundraising targets which need to be met in the weeks leading up to the event. You will be notified of this as part of your welcome pack. These targets are set in order to ensure the costs of the activity are covered prior to the event taking place. If you are unable to achieve this we reserve the right to withdraw your entry and you will not be able to take part.
Age
Minimum or maximum age limits are specified for some events. These assume an average level of competence and maturity. However all participants under 18 require parental consent and it is for parents to decide if the event is appropriate for their child, seeking additional information, if necessary.
Photography and videography
Photographs and video recordings may be taken of you during the event which may be used to publicise future events and the work of the charity on our website and social media channels. Please let us know if you would not want the images and/or recordings to be used in this way.
