Would you like to help us locate future corporate partners who share a passion to end kidney disease, improve health and wellbeing and a desire to end health inequalities?
We are looking for a couple of volunteers who have a connection or interest in helping us to end kidney disease. If so, we’d love for you to support our philanthropy and partnerships team.
We need volunteers to assist in identifying business sectors and organisations to approach regarding corporate charity partnerships. This role will include internet-based browsing to identify suitable prospective corporate charity partners. This might involve looking on company’s house and LinkedIn for example, to help us find the relevant contacts to approach.
We would initially like someone to volunteer for 3 months, this will be reviewed after this time.
Is this role for you?
This is a flexible volunteer role that can be done from home and would require between 4 to 6 hours a week. You can choose hours that suit you, these can include a weekend.
You will need to be able to receive information and return desk research via email and therefore access to a laptop or a computer is essential, as well as internet access.
This is a good role for those who enjoy researching and identifying solutions. You will need to have a basic understanding of Excel and Word.
How will it work?
Our partnership development manager will email business sectors and examples of organisations to target. You will be asked to consider how an organisation fits with the Kidney Research UK strategy and guidance will be offered to assist you. You will be provided with the Kidney Research UK strategy, the corporate partnerships strategy and a sector spreadsheet for you to complete.
By midday on a Friday, you will be expected to email your findings and recommendations (added to an excel spreadsheet) to the partnership development manager who will review them and reply with suitable comments.
Occasionally we might get back in touch with you to discuss your thoughts and ideas.
What is in it for you? You will be helping drive our corporate partnership strategy which will help us raise money that will fund new and innovative research so that one day everyone can live free from kidney disease.
Training and support
There will be an initial meeting to run through the corporate partnership strategy and how we currently approach potential partners. This is a great opportunity for you to meet the partnership development manager and ask any questions. Regular discussions will take place to ensure you have the right tools to complete the tasks and to offer any additional support.
