These tickets may only be purchased by residents of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Kidney Research UK is licensed by the Gambling Commission of Great Britain under the 2005 Gambling Act (www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk). Our licence number is: 000-004856-C-100606-001 and our digital licence number is: 000-004856-A-332565-001.

No one under 16 years of age may purchase or sell raffle tickets. Anyone under 16 years of age who buys a ticket will immediately forfeit the right to any prize.

Kidney Research UK works with an approved supplier, who processes and manages our raffle draw on our behalf.

We take our social responsibility to our supporters seriously and no longer accept credit card as a payment for the purchase of raffle tickets.

Full payment for each ticket must be received either in the form of cash or cleared funds before the ticket can be entered into the draw. Only tickets for which full payment has been received either in the form of cash or cleared funds are eligible to win the prize.

Prizes worth £100 or greater will be notified first by phone and failing that by post and results will be published online at www.kidneyresearchuk.org/lottery. We may ask winners to participate in future publicity.

The prizes for the raffle are 1 x £6,000, 2 x £1,000, 3 x £250, 10 x £100, 15 x £50 retail vouchers, 10 x £25 retail vouchers and we also hold a bonus Super Seller draw with a prize of £100. There are no alternatives to any prize and all prizes will be paid by cheque. Kidney Research UK requires written confirmation that winners would like to receive their prize, if they have been sold a ticket by a Kidney Research UK supporter.

If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond to the letter sent to the registered address within 28 days of the draw, they will automatically forego their right to claim the prize.

In the event of a cheque not being banked we will hold the prize for a maximum of six months. A registered letter will be sent to the last contact address and a further 14 days will be allowed to respond. After this period the prize will be deemed to be forfeit and will be allocated to Kidney Research UK as a donation.

We operate a combined online/offline draw ensuring that each entrant has an equal chance of winning each prize. The draw will be conducted by utilising a Random Number Generator that has been tested and approved by an independent, Gambling Commission approved, third party test house in combination with a blind draw in plain sight of staff.

Based on the average number of tickets sold in our raffles over the last two years, each ticket bought has a 1 in 2,438 chance of winning a prize. The likelihood of a supporter winning a prize will differ depending on the amount of tickets sold for the draw and how many tickets bought by the individual.

Of the £41,442 received in tickets sales for the Kidney Research UK summer raffle 2023, just 34.04% was spent on expenses, 23.52% on prizes and 42.44% came back to the Charity to fund our work. We have stringent procedures in place when in comes to selecting which research we fund; this helps us to know that the research we are funding has the best possible chance of improving the lives of kidney patients.
