Blood, urine and tissue samples from appropriately consented/authorised organ donors are available for use in your research. Quality in Organ Donation (QUOD) is a nationwide programme that makes samples available to research projects based on scientific merit.

Retrieval zones include:

  • Birmingham/Cardiff
  • Cambridge
  • Edinburgh
  • London Kings
  • Manchester/Leeds
  • Newcastle
  • Oxford / Royal Free

We are a charity partner in the grant, funded by Medical Research Council (MRC) and the NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT), to expand the QUOD biobank and infrastructure. We are helping to raise the profile of QUOD to encourage more people in the research community to make use of this excellent resource.

For more information and to request access to the samples, please visit https://quod.org.uk/ where application documents can be downloaded and submitted.
