Vacancy for renal trainees and early career renal multi-professional colleagues

The UK Kidney Research Consortium has added the UK Kidney MedTech Network to its platform of clinical study groups and networks, with the aim of ensuring that people living with kidney disease benefit from the rapid development of medical technology. This includes identifying knowledge gaps and unmet needs, supporting research activities in line with the UK Renal Research Strategy, developing grant applications and attracting funding.

The MedTech Network has an operational structure encompassing a leadership team (three healthcare professional chairs, two patient leads), a patient advisory group and a network of broad expertise. Within the network, we are keen to ensure representation of both renal trainees and early career renal multi-professionals and are inviting expressions of interest to take on a role in the network.

Role information 

There is a dedicated position for a renal trainee and an early career multi-professional with an interest in technology who are keen to play an active involvement in the following areas:

  • identification of areas where technology can make an impact
  • development of research proposals and supporting ongoing research.

The network meets quarterly online (in-person meetings may periodically be considered) and commitment between network meetings will be driven by proactive engagement with projects. The candidate will have a collaborative outlook with good communication and leadership skills, have an interest in medical technology and research activity.
