UK Dialysis and Research Innovation Network – vacancy for chair

UK Dialysis and Research Innovation Network – vacancy for co-chairs

Unpaid, voluntary role

Closing date: 5pm, 20 May 2022

This is an exciting opportunity in the early-stage development of a UK Dialysis and Research Innovation Network (UKDRIN) for the position of two co-chairs. The co-chairs will lead the important work of this network and drive forward research and innovation in this area. The network will sit under the UK Kidney Research Consortium (UKKRC).

Our ambitious mission is to improve the lives of dialysis patients of all ages by creating a multi-disciplinary collaborative network that unites UK researchers, innovators and patients. At an executive level it will define overall strategy and identify opportunities to develop and accelerate new research and innovation projects many of which will link to other key groups and networks.

Our vision is that key research endeavours will be enhanced through this executive network approach with co-ordinated and comprehensive access to the best resources and expertise in the UK. This will deliver better technologies and therapeutics to transform dialysis treatment and support translation of the very best evidence into clinical practice.

Role information

The co-chairs will help to recruit further panel members and focus on the short-term goals of establishing a sustainable networked approach with strategic leadership. They will support and undertake a horizon-scanning exercise to develop and deliver a new dialysis research and innovation strategic roadmap.

Kidney Research UK will provide some co-ordination and development support for meetings of the network.
