Dame Jacqueline Wilson shares message of support “We’ve just got to keep on having faith that things will work out for all of us”

08 April 2020

Our ambassador and popular children’s author, Dame Jacqueline Wilson, has shared a message of support to fellow kidney patients who are self-isolating during the coronavirus pandemic.

Jacqueline knows what it’s like living with kidney disease; she was diagnosed with stage three kidney disease after suffering from heart failure. She even wrote her 100th book on a keyboard using only her left hand, as her right arm was hooked up to a haemodialysis machine!

An unwavering optimist, Jacqueline has recorded some words of wisdom to boost and inspire others living with kidney disease at this time.

Help keep research going

Along with Jacqueline, we hope all of our supporters are keeping safe and well at this difficult time. Now more than ever, we want to do all we can to keep research going.

Every minute last year we spent £16.21 on research. With your help you can make sure this research continues. We know that many of our supporters will have been affected financially by this crisis, but if you feel you are able to help us with a gift today, we would really appreciate it. You can help us make sure the coronavirus does not beat research into kidney disease.

Our research is only possible with your support.
