Giving Tuesday is held on 28 November each year. It’s a day that gives us all a great opportunity to do good stuff for charity.
Here’s how it works: on the day, you can choose to support any charity you want in any way you want. You choose what good stuff you’d like to do. Whether you bake good stuff, make good stuff, donate good stuff, tweet good stuff or even just say good stuff ‐ how you support your favourite cause is totally up to you.
You’ll be joining some of Britain’s biggest brands, charities and celebrities, as well as thousands of people in the UK all doing good stuff for charity. Last year, some 98 countries took part in Giving Tuesday and a world record was made for the most amount of charity giving in 24 hours!
In the UK #givingtuesday was the no 1 Twitter trend. It really is THE day to do good stuff for charity.
Get all you need to know to join in Giving Tuesday.
We know our supporters are a generous lot but if you are stuck for inspiration, don’t worry because there are so many ways to give to Kidney Research UK.
You could give your time – we love having volunteers at and about doing good stuff for us.
You could donate your preloved good stuff to one of our Kidney Research UK charity shops. We have four shops, one in Redcar, one in Cardiff another in Dalkeith and one in Exeter.
Speaking from our Redcar shop, manager Neil Stewart, said: “We get all sorts donated to us, from plasma televisions to furniture. We’ve had gold rings with rubies in and even a pair of brand new Ugg boots with the price tag still on! But everything donation to us makes a huge difference in how we help to find research.”
Or, if your good stuff is a donation to fund research in the fight against kidney disease, you can give online, set-up a monthly donation or call us on 0300 303 1100.
Whatever you’re planning to do for Giving Tuesday, you’ll be joining in with tens of thousands of others who are doing good stuff for their favourite charity. Don’t miss out – join the giving and don’t forget to use the hashtag #givingtuesday.
