St Augustine’s scouts came together to support fellow scout

When scouts from St Augstine’s group in the Icknield district, Luton, decided to organise a first class fundraising event, the choice was obvious. The group came together to support their fellow scout, who is suffering from kidney problems, by raising funds for Kidney Research UK in the form of a sponsored swim.

The event went well and altogether, they managed to raise an incredible £800! Georgia McCormack, Community Fundraising Manager for Kidney Research UK, attended the Scout Troops annual Bar-B-Que where she was presented with the cheque. She said “it is wonderful it was to see so many young people sparing their time to help others and I’d like to thank them all for their efforts.”
