Dr Ceri Fielding

After graduating from Warwick University with a BSc (Hons) in Virology, Dr Ceri Fieldingmoved to the University of Wales College of Medicine and later Cardiff University for his PhD and post-doctoral studies. His research has centred on soluble proteins called cytokines, which are important for regulation of inflammation (the body’s natural response to infection or injury). In 2006, Ceri was awarded a Kidney Research UK Career Development Fellowship to investigate the role of cytokine signalling pathways in the development of peritoneal fibrosis.
