We have a guaranteed number of places for a variety of marathons, half-marathons, and fun-runs across the country, including the Virgin London Marathon and the BUPA Great North Run. We could be your only chance to take part in these heavily over-subscribed events, and you will also have the chance to benefit from our support in the lead-up to the event and on the day itself.

Bupa Great North Run - 16th September 2012

Take part in the Bupa Great North Run and join a mix of elite athletes, celebrities and charity runners competing in the world’s biggest and most famous half marathon! The 13.1 mile route starts in the heart of Newcastle and crosses the Tyne Bridge before finishing in South Shields.

After the race we have a complimentary marquee and hospitality area, where we will be on hand to provide post run refreshments and a chance to relax, where you can meet friends, family and your fellow competitors. We will also have masseurs to help soothe tired and aching legs. Kidney Research UK is renowned for having fantastic post race hospitality – come and join the party!

Register online now for one of our guaranteed places in the 2012 event. The registration fee is £39 and all we ask for is a minimum sponsorship amount of £395. Places are limited. Don’t miss out, register today!

Whether you are a ballot or a bond runner running for Kidney Research UK, you will receive full support and encouragement including a Kidney Research UK running vest and a helpful Fundraising pack. Please let us know if you have your own place in the event as we would love to support you along the way.

Need Accommodation?
Castle Leazes Halls at Newcastle University are offering competitive rates, late check out on the day of the race and an evening meal on the Saturday night. The halls are only a ten minute walk from the start line. For more information or to book click here.
