'Living with Kidney Disease’ Module 1 is a health awareness and education project designed to support anyone who has been told by their doctor that they have some level of kidney damage. This DVD is aimed at patients who have been newly diagnosed with CKD.

Presented by Dr Chris Steele (of ITV’s, This Morning), the programme outlines what the kidneys do and the background to CKD. It provides positively presented information as to what can be done in terms of both diet and lifestyle to prevent further damage to the kidneys and to reduce the associated risks of stroke and heart attack. The content of the DVD also covers those questions which patients often don’t consider in the early days of diagnosis such as how to get the best from the NHS, how to plan for holidays and dialysis away from home, benefit entitlements and issues such as life insurance, mortgages and employment rights.
